Academic background
Dr Shareef is a skilled general and surgical dermatologist who is on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register as a Consultant Dermatologist since 2014. After completing his postgraduate medical training, Dr Shareef joined the Yorkshire Dermatology training programme. He also undertook research in Photodermatology at the University of Dundee and has authored/co-authored various publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented at multiple regional, national and international meetings.
He has a keen interest in Surgical Dermatology and Lasers, having completed the prestigious Laser and Skin Cancer Fellowship at Leeds. After working at various trusts as a Consultant and also after a period of working in the Middle East, he has joined the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in 2019 and is now the Clinical Lead Dermatologist. He has a keen interest in teaching and supervision of medical students and junior doctors in training.
