Dr Carmel Ramage is a renowned Urogynaecologist who has spent 20 years training and working in the area of incontinence and prolapse. She trained at Guy’s Hospital Medical School, qualifying in 1991 and going on to train in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in South East Thames. Early on, she developed an interest in incontinence and prolapse, undertaking research into basic science and quality of life in incontinence.Work-life balance brought her to Yorkshire in 2000, where she completed her training and was delighted to be appointed as Consultant Urogynaecologist and Obstetrician at Bradford Teaching Hospitals in 2003, developing and leading a nationally regarded tertiary level Urogynaecology service. She is the Yorkshire and the Humber Urogynaecology training programme praeceptor. Dr Ramage has an holistic approach to management of pelvic floor dysfunction, offering a full range of investigations and conservative and surgical treatments for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
